We live in a society where people demand ease and convenience. And the more we demand it, the more we crave it. Technology never ceases to deliver.
Digital Camcorder Camera Option
Capturing the first image was a break through, and then learning to capture it fast enough to make it move… nothing short of outstanding. But those days are far behind us, and we take all of that for granted. Now we are out filming Sally’s soccer game and we think, that a still shot of the kick that won the game would be great in a frame, but alas, I was filming. Or we have the camera out for Bobby’s graduation, and are thinking, that alone these photos aren’t much, but to have the event in motion, to relive, that would be something.
Now you can have both. You no longer have to carry around your camera and your camcorder. No more do you have to try and decide in advance when to use one or the other. If you are filming, and that winning kick happens, it is a click of a button, to take a snap shot in the middle of filming. Some devises, let you look back through the film at a later date, and choose stills from the moving footage.
Things to Look For in Your Digital Camcorder Camera
Since the same basic rules apply to both filming and still, many of the features of a camera apply to a camcorder, meaning that merging the two isn’t that hard. I am sure a die hard photographer would tell you that the stills won’t be as good, and in his field they may not, but that is not to say that applies to the rest of us.
The rest of us may know little to nothing about all the refined details of shooting good film or photographs. We want the digital camcorder camera to do that for us. And it does. There is almost always an easy setting on the device that will auto focus for you, determine the best speed, resolution, and lighting needed to make the best overall shot. For most of us, that is all we need. For the more experienced or adventurous, you can turn off the automation, and control those functions your self. You can create all sorts of interesting effects.
We are all pretty accustomed to the led screens that now don our photography equipment. And they have many pluses. And now, they can be moved! If you want to film yourself talking about the statue behind you, you can. Flip the screen around and now you can make sure that both you and the statue in question are in the frame. Love birds no longer have to ask the awkward passer-by to take their picture.
But don’t be too quick to give up that old viewer window. On a bright sunny day that screen is almost impossible to see. If you have a moment that needs to be captured, that old view finder may save you. Knowing this, it is not hard to find a digital camcorder camera that has both.
Unless you are trying to make the next Blair Witch movie, you are going to want a good stabilizer on your digital camcorder camera. This is true whether shoot footage or taking stills. Nobody, well, most people, don’t like all the shaking and blurring of images.
No matter if you just want to shoot some footage of the kids, or if you are looking to learn some serious techniques, a digital camcorder camera can help you get there. You can simultaneously learn about both shooting stills and about how to shoot good footage.
Best way to start any endeavor is to take the time, do the research. These devises can get costly quickly so make sure you are buying the right machine to fit your needs and your budget. A little time now may save you several headaches and regrets in the future. Not to mention money.
